after the roaring success of nicolas jaars space is only noise album the fine curatorial heads at circus company hq have enlisted 2 of their nearest, dearest and most talent co-conspirators for the first round of remix duties. having built a cult following and peerless reputation for his remixes of everyone from roy ayers to cassius, pépé bradock turns in no less than 3 versions of too many kids finding rain in the dust. the proceedings begin with his blind pig mix, an echoing tunnel of balkan strings and dusty samples connecting the lands of disco and hip hop to blinding effect. the train fantôme poke follows and is certain to find its way into many a discerning dj bag in the weeks and months to come, with its mathew herbert-esque syncopations and grinding industrial scrapes and psychedelic whispers. dave aju takes up the baton on the flip turning the albums title track into the kind of late 80s dance floor work out martin hannet would have been proud of, certain to appeal to fans of recent work by matias aguayo, rebolledo and the comeme camp.

marcus gehring fits in with upon you like vodka shots at an after hour. his funky and trippy sound grooves until sunrise and thats the way we like it. it doesnt matter whether its the title track >on a trip< on a1 or >in between< on the flipside with its bouncy bass line.

sebastian russell is one of the most exciting discoveries on mos ferrys decent 10inch label fenou. after his first single release >away< from 2009 the london producer chipped in a remix for dapayks >decade one< album and he also contributed the fantastic piece >follow the lost soul< for the >fenou bouquet vol. 1< label compilation in late 2010. now, he returns with the beautiful 2-track record >far around us< showing his eccentric as well as catchy interpretation of modern house music. the release is extended by three more tracks in the digital bundle including a hypnotizing remix of the title track by alex tomb. as usual, the 10inch record is a limited edition and numbered by hand.

for more than a year, third ear and benjamin have been selecting tracks for this ep and for an album to follow later in the year. the wait was largely due to the track no kicks, which initially used a chuck d acapella, titled no. when third ear couldn?t get clearance for the acapella, we suggested to benjamin that we try and think of another poet/rapper who could produce an original lyric inspired by chuck d?s flow. after some thought we suggested diamondancer, who was inspired to write the lyric she performs here. stay hungry stay foolish and acidic sun are delicious and dreamy, with a fat pulsing groove. hello ammmerika is more urgent, pushing the groove constantly.

after the echocord jubilee compilation we are now back with a new artist on echocord. we welcome sasu ripatti aka vladislav delay from finland. sasu is known from many projects, like luomo and from the moritz von oswald trio. now that sasu have the quartet where he can fully search for the acoustic music and jazz-influences and beyond, the vladislav delay solo stuff will be again focused on electronic experiments. these 2 tracks give a light on where the project is heading. something old, something new. the remix is from no one else than ricardo villalobos and max loderbauer.

in january 2011 mark was invited by erik wiegand (aka errorsmith) to make some presets for his new software synthesizer which he was building for native instruments. after developing about 40 sounds*, mark decided to rework his ul8 project by extending the pattern generating systems used in its construction, which he then connected to the sounds produced in erik s synthesizer. the result is this double 12 single, featuring 9 tracks and a remix from mark s friend and colleague mat steel.
